A family-owned business, we were originally founded by Arthur H. Apel as Apel Machine & Supply Company, a local machine shop still in operation in Cullman, Alabama.

Since 1986, we’ve made efforts to grow our business so that we can offer our customers a complete structural package. Now in a 130,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Cullman, with state-of-the-art equipment, Apel Steel has the resources to handle any project and the capacity to deliver every job on time. We know the importance of timely delivery to completing your job successfully.

Today, our first priority is to surpass customer expectations. That’s why we make every effort to accommodate each customer during every step of the process, from the first phone call to product delivery and onsite erection.
